In line with efforts to strengthen support and guidance mechanisms for project holders, the National Entrepreneurship Support and Development Agency (NESDA) organized a meeting today, Wednesday, February 26, 2026, at its general headquarters. Held in partnership with TALA Insurance, the meeting focused on enhancing support and insurance mechanisms for micro-enterprises under the theme: « Towards a Secure Environment for Your Businesses ».
The meeting culminated in the signing of a framework convention between the two parties, aimed at launching insurance coverage for the Agency’s beneficiaries. This qualitative step reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the preventive and social dimensions of the micro-enterprise financing system. The convention aims to provide insurance coverage for project holders funded through the NESDA mechanism, covering risks of death and total permanent disability (TPD). It guarantees the repayment of the outstanding loan balance in the event of a covered risk, thereby ensuring the protection of beneficiaries and their families while maintaining the continuity of the funded projects. In a statement on this occasion, the Director General of the National Entrepreneurship Support and Development Agency (NESDA), Mr. Billel Achacha, emphasized that: "This convention falls within the Agency's strategic vision aimed at strengthening social and financial protection mechanisms for project holders. It enshrines a comprehensive approach that goes beyond mere financing to include ensuring the sustainability of economic activity and supporting entrepreneurs throughout every stage of their journey."
