In a new step toward promoting entrepreneurship and boosting entrepreneurial dynamics in Algeria, the Palais des Expositions (SAFEX) hosted a signing ceremony on Saturday, March 22, 2025, for a partnership framework agreement between the National Agency for Support and Development of Entrepreneurship (NESDA) and the Algiers Water and Sanitation Company (SEAAL). This event coincided with the celebration of World Water Day under the theme "Save Our Glaciers." This initiative is part of a joint effort aimed at supporting micro-enterprises in Algeria and enabling them to integrate into SEAAL’s subcontracting chain, thereby creating sustainable job opportunities and enhancing their contribution to the development of vital public services. Through this agreement, new horizons are opened for micro-enterprises funded by NESDA to participate in public contracts related to maintenance, sanitation, and water piping. This allows them to access real markets and achieve tangible growth on the ground. The partnership also seeks to incentivize micro-enterprises to develop innovative technical solutions that improve the quality of services provided by SEAAL to citizens, by encouraging the use of technology and raising the standards of training and qualification. This agreement serves as a concrete example of institutional integration between public bodies to consolidate the culture of entrepreneurship and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Algeria, placing the integration of micro-enterprises into the national economic fabric at the heart of its priorities. Through this initiative, NESDA reaffirms its ongoing commitment to expanding the scope of support for project holders and providing real partnership opportunities that create added value and contribute to achieving sustainable economic and social development across the various provinces of the country.
